Description
Use of radio-telephony equipment at an airport. Understanding of conversations between aircraft and air traffic controllers. Learn radio-communications between vehicles and ground personnel on foot or at the wheel of a vehicle and the control tower.

Skills Acquired
Detailed knowledge of using documentation for frequency selection and how to use the microphone (maintaining transmission with the PTT switch), the phonetic alphabet, abbreviations for aircraft stands and ground markings, transmission techniques, standard phraseology, monitoring the frequency and confirming message receipt and read back.
